Our martial arts summer camp program is very popular with the Ponte Vedra community. While many of our regular students take advantage of the program, it is also open to non-members. These camps are highly structured and follow a set schedule, so students know what to expect every day. Activities for camp weeks are planned around a central theme and do not generally include electronic games. We believe that kids need an active camp environment and we have a library of time-tested and proven activities from which we draw. The training and accompanying events have a proven track record that sets students up for social development and success whether it’s in future martial arts or in their next school year’s academic activities.
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Our camps are a great way to introduce children to the world of martial arts and Tang Soo Do — the Korean martial arts style founded by Grandmaster Song Ki Pak
Is your child ready for a “Black Belt Experience”?
This is a very active camp program and is not appropriate for campers younger than 6 years old, no exceptions. We also strongly recommend that children have attended Kindergarten prior to camp. The social skills they have learned in school greatly assist in making the camp a success for all attendees and are reinforced by our instructors.
Summer Break camps are very popular and are designed to build character through the use of specific weekly themes. Students can enroll for individual weeks or for the entire summer. Activities each week revolve around such themes as respect, perseverance, courage, and teamwork. In the summer we separate campers into age groups which is at the discretion of the Camp Director. We find that doing so allows the kids to bond better and share common experiences and interests. It also breaks up siblings, allowing each child to have his or her own unique experience.
Spring Break Camp is structured around popular martial-arts-related themes. One of our most popular themes is Defenders of the Galaxy, which is our tribute to the Star Wars series. Other themes include Order of Wizards and Heroes of the World. For information or to register for Spring Break Camp, please call us several weeks ahead of time, as this Camp has limited space and tends to fill up quickly.
